The course has received its share of acclaim since it opened just a few years ago. Now, however, it will come under the national spotlight that other Michigan courses have enjoyed in the past. Oakland Hills CC, Boyne's Bay Habor, Treetops Threetops, Grand Traverse Resort's The Bear, Egypt Valley and Walnut Hills have all held tournaments that started with the words, "Lights, Camera, Action.
Wild Bluff will achieve this exposure with the tapes highlights that the Golf Channel will provide of the Bay Mills Open-Canadian Tour. According to Mike Husby, Director of Tournament and the Director of Golf at Wild Bluff, the Golf Channel will televise up to two hours on the tournament. The Tournament will also have same day coverage on the Internet, all of which will be able to be seen on http://baymillsopen.com
There are still a number of arrangements to be made, including acquiring additional sponsorships. Husby and his assistant, Judy Mason, have been working the phones and email just about day and night.
