Terry Moore steps Down as Editor of the Michigan Golfer
In mid November, Terry Moore, editor of the Michigan Golfer since it was launched 18 years ago, indicated that he would be stepping down. Terry will continue writing for the Michigan Golfer during the coming year, but will focus the majority of his time on other business and writing pursuits.
Terry has left an enviable legacy of words and wisdom over the last two decades of his stewardship. During his tenure he put together a formidable writing team of golf journalists and photographers. Their collective contributions have made the Michigan Golfer the premier golf publication in the state.
Besides his contributions as editor of the Michigan Golfer, Terry headed up the first Michigan Golf Summit, was an original partner in the television show Golfing Michigan, a principal in the golf radio show, All About Golf and finally, the owner of the West Michigan Golf Show. He has been a member and an active board member of the Golf Writers Association of America.
Great Lakes Sports Publications, Inc. wishes Terry well on his new endeavors and wants to thank him for the prodigious body of work he has left behind.
Due to the timing of the announcement, GLSP will not be replacing Terry during this editorial year. Instead, the Michigan Golfer will have a guest editor for each of the 2001 issues. Our first guest editor will be Paul Fullmer, Executive Director of the American Society of Golf Course Architects.
